User Experience (UX) Designer

What it is:
Mirum-J. Walter Thompson Jakarta is looking for a User Experience (UX) Designer with strong interests and capabilities in the design and development of engaging digital user experiences, a thorough understanding of contemporary user-centric design methodologies, and an interest in keeping up with industry trends. What you do:
>Design user interfaces and information architecture to meet digital experience needs, with an emphasis on clarity and usability, using human-centered design principles and participatory and interactive design techniques/tools (e.g., conceptual diagrams/scenarios, wireframes, prototypes, design specifications, usability testing).
>Advocate for the user and have a firm understanding for who they are, their goals and needs.
>Work with cross functional teams who have a variety of skills – including creative, content strategy, business analysts, back-end and front-end development, etc.—to contribute to the final digital product while adopting lean and agile approaches as appropriate.
>Develop artifacts independently or in collaboration with other team members to support the execution of our digital interface work by helping define the intended interactions (i.e. user stories, feature lists, sitemaps, user flows and wireframes)
>Effectively communicate conceptual ideas and detailed design rationale, both verbally and visually to internal clients and internal partners; collaborate to understand business requirements and develop or work with team members to develop solutions.
>Evaluate our clients; digital properties and usability standards and provide recommendations that will improve the user experience.
>Define online product problem areas from the user’s perspective and collaborate with stakeholders on best ways to align strategies and KPIs.
>Facilitate design review sessions with key stakeholders with the goal of advocating for the user needs and achieving consensus among stakeholders for the design solution Collaborate with Research and Analytics to test, analyze and optimize our client’s digital solutions
What you need:
>2+ years of user interaction and interaction design experience and information architecture.
>Bachelor’s degree in Interaction Design, Graphic Design, Information Architecture or Human Factors preferred but not required.
>Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and related industry specific software such as Omnigraffle or Axure.
>Strong understanding of Content Management Systems, websites and web products.
>Proven ability to develop strong experiences for responsive/adaptive web and native mobile applications.
>Experience leading and facilitating common UX testing methodologies.
>Commitment to constantly improve one’s skills, staying current with developments and trends in the industry, and providing team education and guidance.
>Some experience performing user research and developing insights and recommendations from findings.
>Must have an online portfolio demonstrating strong visual design experience, use of contrast, color and tone.
>Strong ability to communicate vision and usability requirements to cross functional teams and stakeholders across multiple office locations.
>Understanding of Information Architecture, Prototyping and Research/Testing.
>Ability to understand user needs, motivations and behaviors and response to them with meaningful product solutions.
>Experience with data visualization.
>Strong understanding of relevant social media apps (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, etc.).
>Experience in an agency environment preferred.
